As political maneuvering intensifies ahead of the 2027 general elections, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially released its full roster of governorship and deputy governorship candidates across 28 states.
The announcement was made public through an official statement signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi.
The lineup features a mix of seasoned politicians, technocrats, and prominent heavyweights as the party positions itself as a formidable alternative to wrestle power at the sub-national level.
A breakdown of the list revealed that Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour flies the party’s flag in Lagos State, paired with Gbadamosi Babatunde Olalere as his running mate.
In Kebbi State, former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, emerges as the ADC governorship candidate alongside Zagi Musa Mohammed.
The party also fielded candidates in Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Borno, Cross River, Ebonyi, Enugu, Gombe, Jigawa, Kano, Nasarawa, Niger, Ogun, Oyo, Rivers, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe and Zamfara.
The ADC said the candidates represented its commitment to offering Nigerians an alternative ahead of the 2027 elections.
ADC unveiled the candidates ahead of the February 6, 2027 governorship elections.
Also, governorship campaigns are scheduled to begin on September 9, 2026.
