Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo, Grabs First Confed Cup Goal


Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first goal of the Confederations Cup on Wednesday to fire Portugal into the lead against hosts Russia in their second group match.

The Portugal captain powered a header beyond Igor Akinfeev from a Raphael Guerreiro cross in the eighth minute.

The European champions were held by Mexico in their opening game in Group A with Ronaldo providing an assist for Ricardo Quaresma in Sunday’s 2-2 draw.
