The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has explained why he met with the Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai on Tuesday.

The Ifewara-Osun State born man of God was received by Gov. El-Rfuai at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House days after eight kidnapped members of RCCG kidnapped were released.

Explaining his visit, in a statement released on his official facebook page, Pastor Adeboye said he was in Kaduna to see his children that were released after they had been kidnapped last month on their way to the RCCG’s easter programme tagged: ‘Let’s Go A Fishing.’

He added that El-Rufai appealed to him after he had met with his released members to visit the State house and pray for leadership, peace and protection in the state.

His statement reads, “earlier today, I decided to go out of my schedule to see my Children who God delivered from the den of the kidnappers while they were on their way to the venue of the Let’s Go Fishing Exercise.

“To the Glory of God, they are Hale and Hearty.

“Before leaving, The Governor appealed to me to visit the State house in Kaduna to pray for the state, its people and its leadership for peace and protection after laying hands on my Children who were sick.

“It is my prayer that the peace of and kingdom of God will be established in Kaduna State and our nation Nigeria and all locations where the children of God are across the world in JESUS name (AMEN). Have a blessed day. EAA

Recall that members of RCCG, Region 30, Trinity Sanctuary, Kaduna, were attacked and kidnapped on March 26 near Doka along the Kachia-Kafanchan Road. However, they later regained their freedom after spending days in kidnappers’ den.
