The England Premier League has announced the nomination list for the 2020/21 Player of the season award.

Manchester City’s Ruben Dias and Kevin De Bruyne made the nomination list. Also, Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah, West Ham’s Tomas Soucek and Chelsea’s Mason Mount were also part of nominated names for Premier League (PL) Player of the Season award.

Dias who won the 2020/21 Football Writers’ Association award in May is looking to also claim the PL player of the season award for his brilliant display on the road to the crowning of Man City as the champions.

Similarly, De Bruyne, who won PL award last season is also hoping to claim the award for the second time in a row. The midfielder also played a huge impact in securing the fifth Premier league for his side this year.

Harry Kane on the other hand, won both golden Boot and playmaker of the season awards, making him a top contender for the PL player of the season award.

Mount, Salah, Fernandes, Grealish and Soucek also play a vital role at their respective clubs for the 2020/21 season.

The PL made this announcement on its official website on Tuesday. Also, voting line has been opened and will close by 6pm on Thursday, June 3.

For the PL Manager of the Season award, Man city boss Pep Guardiola was nominated after leading his side to win the Premier league for this season. Brendan Rodgers, who guided Leicester City to the FA Cup, is also in contention, alongside Leeds’ Marcelo Bielsa, West Ham’s David Moyes and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer of Manchester United.

The nominees for the Premier League goal of the season are: James Maddison (vs Man City, September 27), Manuel Lanzini (vs Spurs October 18), Ola Aina (vs West Brom November 2), Sebastien Haller (vs Crystal Palace December 16), Mohamed Salah (vs West Ham January 31), Bruno Fernandes (vs Everton February 6), Erik Lamela (vs Arsenal March 14), Jesse Lingard (vs Wolves April 5), Edinson Cavani (vs Fulham May 18)
