Nigeria’s music celebrity Paul Okoye’s union with Anita Okoye has crashed as the wife files a petition for divorce.

Paul and his twin brother Peter Okoye became a household name in the Nigerian music industry through their now defunct brand P-Square following a split.

According to reports, the sudden crash of the union as petitioned by the wife is as a result of irreconcilable differences.

Recall the couple got married in 2014 after dating for 10 years and they are blessed with three children.

The news of their pending divorce comes as a massive shock to both families and their close friends.

A source close to the couple reportedly confirmed that both parties will proceed amicably with the legal resolution and be the best co-parents in the interest of their children.

The source also said that Paul and Anita “have always been very good friends and like every couple they have had issues for a while but plan to remain on good terms and keep the friendship they have always had since their days as university students.”

Paul Okoye is reportedly said to be on a press tour, while Anita has moved to the United States where she is working on her masters degree as a graduate student.
