The leader and founder of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Pastor Temitope Balogun Joshua popularly known as T. B. Joshua is dead.

His church has confirmed the news of his shocking passage in a statement.

Late Saturday, multiple reports had said the popular televangelist died at age of 57 in Lagos, few days to his birthday. The news immediately raised anxiety among Nigerians as it broke amid uncertainties.

SCOAN would later confirm T.B. Joshua’s death in the statement below, early Sunday.

“PROPHET TB JOSHUA – JUNE 12th 1963 to JUNE 5th 2021

“Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.” – Amos 3:7.

“On Saturday 5th June 2021, Prophet TB Joshua spoke during the Emmanuel TV Partners Meeting: “Time for everything – time to come here for prayer and time to return home after the service.”

“God has taken His servant Prophet TB Joshua home – as it should be by divine will. His last moments on earth were spent in the service of God. This is what he was born for, lived for and died for.

“As Prophet TB Joshua says, “The greatest way to use life is to spend it on something that will outlive it”.

“Prophet TB Joshua leaves a legacy of service and sacrifice to God’s Kingdom that is living for generations yet unborn.

“The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations and Emmanuel TV Family appreciate your love, prayers and concern at this time and request a time of privacy for the family.

“Here are Prophet TB Joshua’s last words: “Watch and pray.”

“One life for Christ is all we have; one life for Christ is so dear.”

The cause of his death was not immediately disclosed by his church as of the time of this reporting.

T.B Joshua died shortly after finishing a programme at his church.

Former Aviation Minister, Mr Femi Fani-kayode, said to be a friend of the televangelist had earlier said TB Joshua’s daughter confirmed the death to him minutes after he had debunked the news in a Twitter post.

He wrote, ”The passing of my brother TB Joshua saddens me deeply. At 3.00 am this morning, I was told by one of his daughters that this was fake news & I tweeted as much.

”Sadly, I was misled. 5 minutes ago the same person called me & confirmed the story.”

Also former presidential candidate, Mr Dele Momodu announced TB. Joshua’s death in a tweet, “Good night my very dear friend and brother, Pastor Temitope, Balogun. Rest in Peace.”

It was said that his body had been deposited at the morgue awaiting autopsy.

TB Joshua’s megachurch runs the Emmanuel TV television station from Lagos.

His YouTube channel, Emmanuel TV, had over 1,000,000 YouTube subscribers.

The channel was the world’s most viewed Christian ministry on the platform before it was suspended.

Born on June 12, 1963, he was a renowned televangelist and philanthropist.

Prophet TB Joshua’s famed around the world for his prophecies and healing of the sick as well as casting out of demons.
