... Nollywood Hots Up

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has angrily called out her colleague Yomi Fabiyi over his statement on viral allegations that actor Olarenwaju James aka Baba Ijesha defiled a 14-year-old girl.

The actress had taken to her social media accounts to tell her colleagues not to defend Baba Ijesha when allegations of his rape scandal were first reported.

She disclosed that, she has nothing against the embattled actor but noted that she would stand by the truth.

Also, Yomi Fabiyi made a post on the matter, saying some of his colleagues were attacking a fallen man because they believe nobody can do anything for them.

It was, however, not clear if Yomi was referring to Iyabo as the rape saga has thrown up controversy among perfomers in the Yoruba Nollywood.

Taking to her Instagram page, Iyabo slammed Yomi, noting that he was the reason why she made her first video.

According to her, Yomi didn’t make any findings but put up a post on IG and made her colleagues to repost it.

According to her, Yomi was insisting that the video of Baba Ijesha defiling the child should be released.

The video generated massive outrage on social media most especially on Twitter as many Nigerians commended Iyabo Ojo for speaking up for pedophiles.

Read reactions:

“Jokes apart, Iyabo Ojo asked a question that I think everyone should ask themselves before saying “calm down” in this kind of situation. What if the victim is your ward, what if it’s your kid, what if it’s your sister, what if it’s your niece? You go calm down? Reason am bro ” @TheAjibolaGrey

“Please watch Iyabo Ojo on TikTok and any other platform. Even if na just laughter she laugh. Support her. The industry consequences for this stand she has taken as a ‘Frontliner’ might be dire.” @ Super Girl Timidi

“Iyabo ojo is dragging yomi fabiyi by his balls and I’m here for it . Noticed how most of these yoruba celebrities are silent about the baba ijesha case, even their elders lol, maybe they’re scared someone might call them out for same crime.” @_Nuola
