NECA DG, Timothy Olawale Is Dead!

Director-General of the Nigeria Employers Consultative Association (NECA), Mr. Timothy Olawale has passed away.

It was gathered that the Director-General slumped while performing an official assignment in Abuja. He was in Abuja for a meeting with the Head of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF).

He was immediately rushed to a hospital, where he passed away.

His demise has also been confirmed in a statement issued by the NECA Secretariat.

“We pray the good Lord to grant his family and us all, the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss,’’ the statement reads.

Olawale became substantive NECA DG in January 2019, after serving in acting capacity for six months.

He succeeded Segun Oshinowo, who retired in December 2018 after serving the association for two decades.

Olawale is survived by wife, children and relatives.
