Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has jetted out of Nigeria hours after his bombshell revelation about the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu further set the party in disarray as PDP’s crisis-ridden status takes a turn for the worse.

The governor left the country at midnight on Friday to a destination yet-to-be-disclosed country in Europe, according to media sources.

“Oga travelled last night around 12 midnight but I can’t say exactly where he is going to,” a source in the Government House who pleaded anonymity confirmed the governor’s trip out of the country but stopped short of disclosing his actual destination.

The Governor’s mission in Europe was not immediately known. However, Wike has been a frequent visitor to London for political reasons recently.

On Friday, Governor Wike made stunning revelations about the national chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu and his alleged N1billion bribe from one of the presidential candidates for the May 28 PDP convention.

Recall that Wike had addressed a televised media chat earlier on Friday in Government House, Port Harcourt, where he opened what can be termed a can of worms.

It was gathered that the Governor jetted out in a chattered flight from the Port Harcourt International Airport at about midnight on Friday.
