Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has again warned that any political appointee who steals  government funds or brings undue financial pressures upon government establishments under their watch would be  shown the way out .
He further warned that any government official found mismanaging the common wealth of the state will not only be shown the way out of his government but would be made to face the wrath of the law .
Governor Okowa handed dawn the warning on Wednesday in Asaba, the state capital, during the swearing-in ceremony of 57 persons  who got appointments into 10 government agencies as board members.
He reiterated the need for political appointees to see their appointment as an opportunity to serve rather than to line their pockets with financial benefits at the expenses of the masses and government policy directives .
He said “ I urge the chairmen and members to take note that their appointments are not avenues for self aggrandizement and self-enrichment but a call to service to Deltans and humanity . the board shall not be lured to run counter to the goals of your respective agencies , I urge you therefore to work very hard so that during your tenure , you can transform your veriuos agencies to attain their desired goals”.
