As the finale of the ongoing Big Brother Naija ‘Shine Ya Eye’ holds today, celebrities and fans have continued to drum up support for their favourite housemates.

Going by social media trends in the last few weeks, it seems the top spot will be keenly contested by Whitemoney and Liquorose.

Whitemoney won the heart of many Nigerians from his first week in the Big Brother House because of his consistent cooking for housemates.

At a point, the hairstylist and entrepreneur was caught in a fight with a fellow housemate, Pere, during the latter’s tenure as Head of House.

Pere had stated that Whitemoney should stop cooking for the housemates and all the housemates should be involved in preparing food. However, Pere’s perceived humiliation of Whitemoney invariably earned the latter more fans as viewers felt he was a gentleman for not reacting negatively, despite Pere’s repeated acts of aggression.

Celebrities supporting him include Yul Edochie, Fred Amata, Destiny Etiko, Tunde Ednut, Broda Shaggi, Cubana Chief Priest; and evicted housemates such as Queen, Saga, Nini and Yousef.

The other major contender, Liquorose, has also garnered support from several celebrities and fans alike.

Liquorose, who is a popular dancer and had featured in several music videos before going into the Big Brother House has also got support from Teniola Apata, Funke Akindele and Bolanle Ninalowo.

As it stands, many are waiting with bated breaths to see who would be the last man (or woman) standing on the show later tonight.

Other finalists on the sixth edition of the popular reality TV show are Pere, Cross, Angel and Emmanuel.

The eventual winner will go home with a cash prize of N30m, cash in an Abeg digital wallet, bitcoins courtesy of Patricia, a two-bedroom apartment from RevolutionPlus Property, SUV from Innoson Motors and a trip for two packaged by TravelBeta.
