Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Olafemi Saheed has been declared winner of the Kosofe state constituency II bye election which held Saturday.
The bye-election in Kosofe follows the death of Tunde Braimoh, representing the constituency in the Lagos House of Assembly. He died of Covid-19 disease.

APC’s Saheed polled 12, 434 votes to defeat his opponents as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Sikiru Alebiosu ganered 2,008 votes.
Announcing the results, Professor Iyiola Oni, the returning officer for Kosofe State ii constituency, said a total number of 15, 124 were casted as 361 were rejected.
15,133 voters were accredited for the election out of 280,251 registered voters.
