The Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the remand of former Chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina at the Kuje Correctional Centre as his trial resumed, Friday.
Maina who was extradited to Nigeria, Thursday, was brought before the Justice Okon Abang’s court by a combined team of policemen and operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Maina is being prosecuted on a 12-count charge of money laundering to the tune of N2 billion by the EFCC.
At the resumed trial on Friday, the counsel representing Maina, Adaji Abel formally withdrew and the counsel engaged by Maina asked for a short adjournment to enable him to study the facts of the case.
Justice Abang granted the application and subsequently adjourned the case to Tuesday, 8th of December for a continuation of his trial.
