Super Eagles settled for a 0-0 draw against Sierra Leone at Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers on Tuesday night.

The Super Eagles team traveled to Freetown for this match with aggressive minds having surrendered a four-goal lead to play 4-4 draw in Benin City with Sierra Leone.

Nigerians were not happy with the result of the match as Gernot Rohr and his men failed to redeem themselves in the return leg.

Eagles started the match impressively with the duo of Alex Iwobi and Oghenekaro Etebo doing well in the midfield.

Ahmed Musa got a chance to put Nigeria ahead in the 5th minute after receiving a nice pass from Iwobi, but the former Leicester City man was unable to find the back of the net.

Three minutes later, Kelechi Iheanacho got his chance to give Nigeria the lead, but his shot was parried away by Sierra Leone goalkeeper Mohamed Kamara.

Sierra Leone also had glorious chance to make their fans happy in the 30th minute when Quee located Samura, but he was unable to beat Maduka Okoye.

Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye also made another save before the half time as he denied Kei Kamara from finding the back of the net.

Both teams tried their best to get the winning goal in the second half, but they were unable to find the back of the net as the encounter ended 0-0.

For Nigeria, another lackluster performance by the Rohr’s Super eagles has now postponed their AFCON qualification from group L as a win would have been enough to seal their qualification for the 2021 AFCON tournament.
