Breaking! First Int’l Flight Touches Down In Lagos After Covid-19 Closure

The first international flight successfully landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Saturday, a move which demonstrates Nigeria’s commitment to opening her airspace to international flights.

The plane touched down five months after the Nigerian government had closed its commercial airspace following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The aircraft owned by Middle East Airlines Saturday afternoon landed at the International Airport in Lagos.

According to reports, the plane which took off from Beirut, Lebanon, arrived at the airport at exactly 02:27 pm.

Recall that The New Diplomat had reported that the Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika had earlier said international flight will resume on Saturday, September 5,2020 under strict Covid-19 protocols.
