Nigeria on Thursday, recorded its highest daily figure of Coronavirus cases since it reported its index case on February 27.

The country recorded 745 infections, taking the national total to 18,480 cases.

Recall the highest daily number recorded before now was 681 on June 12. Also, the country logged in another huge 673 infections on 30 May.

From Thursday’s statistics, Lagos recorded 280 cases on Thursday, while Oyo followed with 103 cases.

Ebonyi added 72 cases and FCT Abuja 60. Imo and Edo racked up 46 and 34 cases respectively.

While Delta recorded 33 cases, Rivers has 25 and Kaduna 23.

20 states reported confirmed cases.

Despite the rise in number of cases, experts have said Nigeria’s peak is still far way, but warn individuals must take responsibility if the curve must flatten on time.
