An aid worker, Miss Jennifer Ukambong, who regained her freedom last week Thursday after being held captive for almost a month by Boko Haram insurgents, has revealed the location of Leah Sharibu.

Ukambong who hails from Plateau state was reunited with her family, friends and well wishers on Saturday at her residence in Bukuru. The 22-year-old nurse said Leah Sharibu is in an area close to Lake Chad. She said Leah who is now looking fatter than when she was abducted now owns a house in the forest.

Speaking with newsmen in Bukuru, Ukambong said although she does not know the location of the house where Leah stays, she was told it is located close to Lake Chad. She also said she went to Leah’s house in forest on two different occasion.

“Yes, she (Sharibu) has a house there….I don’t know the location but they say it is close to Lake Chad. Shetold us to pray for her and the other two, that she has left everything to God,” said Ukambong.

She also said that Mrs Alice Ngaddah, Miss Grace Taku who were abducted by the insurgents at different times are all “doing fine in the forest.”

Speaking on her ordeal in the hands of the Boko Haram insurgents, Ukambong said the insurgents were somehow kind to her and her fellow abductee despite their trademark of perpetrating violence.

Ukambong said, “They (Boko Haram) told us it was against the Qur’an to forcefully touch a woman not legally married to you. They however, tried to prepare our minds to expect such should they decide to keep us as slaves. According to them, the Qur’an gives them the right to such privileges when they take a hostage as slave.”
