President Muhammadu Buhari has named the National Stadium, Abuja after a towering icon of Nigeria’s democracy and the winner of the annuled 1993 presidential election, Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola.

He made the declaration while delivering his democracy day speech, Wednesday, marking a shift in the symbolic celebration from May 29 to June 12.
