Serving Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly and Convener of the Save Nigeria Group (SNG), Pastor Tunde Bakare has declared he will be running for the number one job in the country.

Bakare while speaking at the cross over service at the Church’s auditorium in Lagos Monday morning, said he will not be foreclosing participatory politics anytime soon as God had instructed him to return to politics to lead Nigeria.

“I heard the Lord say to me, politics is not over for you, there is still one thing left for you to do; run for president.

“And He said to me, I will work it out myself. I will make it happen in due course.

“Please trust me, I lie not in the Holy Ghost. This is not easy for me to share with you. I shared this with you, so that you can pray along with me.

“God has not told me the exact time, but said He will make it happen in due course.
“It appears destiny is calling and time is now. I love this Church but destiny is calling. Please pray for me like never before because we are in this together.

“It does not matter what anybody says, I’m not looking for anything.”

The cleric who was President Muhammadu Buhari’s running mate in 2011 said he will not be fazed with the intimidating challenges of pursuing his presidential dream calling on Nigerians to pray along with him.

“Joseph (in the Bible ) did not contest an election; yet, he became the prime minister of Egypt. Why must I worry myself about where to get the resources for the task?

“Your own duty in this assignment is to pray along with me. When it is the appointed time, He ( God ) will do it. When He tells me the time, you will hear about it,” he stated.
