Former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has claimed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is “afraid” of his influence and his return to active politics.
The former governor stated that the government’s discomfort stemmed from his refusal to stay silent on what he describes as a “failing” administration.
He made the claim during an interview with BBC Hausa, monitored on Friday.
“You know, when that government came, I was among the few people who came out and told her we would oppose it and remove it. There was nothing I did not say.
“If they had anything against me like they claim to have against others, the matter would have long been settled. But even if you want to accuse me, make sure you prove the accusation. I am waiting; whoever invites me, I will go,” he said.
El-Rufai further disclosed that his disagreement with the current administration was based on differences in objectives.
