The EFCC has taken the fight against corruption closer to the people of Akwa Ibom state and the neighbouring Cross River State, by establishing an office in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.
The office, located on number 3, Akparawa Crescent, off Edet Akpan Avenue (4 lane), started receiving petitions on August 8, 2017, when the Commission took over the office complex.
The Zonal Head, Mr. Abdulkarim Chukkol, had earlier addressed the media on the operation of the Commission in Uyo.
“We urge the people within the zone to see the nearness of the EFCC to their door steps as an advantage which they should maximise by alerting the Commission of any form of economic or financial crimes” said Chukkol.
