The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje and members of Ondo State House of Assembly are reportedly in a meeting following the lingering face-off between the state deputy governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the lawmakers.

This trails allegations levelled against the deputy governor on gross misconduct while in charge of the affairs of the state during the three-month medical vacation of the state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.

It would be recalled that the House indicted Aiyedatiwa following claim of diverting N300 million from palliative funds for the purchase of an SUV without the knowledge of his principal but the claim was debunked by the deputy governor.

The House moved for an impeachment against the deputy governor but it was suspended following a court injunction.

Weighing in on the matter, the national chairman of the party last Tuesday set up a committee with the view of resolving the differences.

While the outcome of Tuesday’s meeting (today) between the party’s chairman and the lawmakers is yet unknown it is expected that the party would find a lasting solution for the waring parties even as the state gears up for the 2024 governorship election.
