By Ishola Kayode

Nigeria’s former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has revealed that the wife of General Abdourahman Tiani, head of the military junta in Niger, is a Nigerian from Kangiwa, Kebbi State.

He also highlighted the strong connections between Niger Republic and Nigeria, stating that many families in the core Northern region have relatives in Niger Republic.

Chief Fani-Kayode tweeted today urging ECOWAS to intervene in Niger Republic without using Nigerian troops.

While providing insights about the head of the military junta there Fani-Kayode stressed their role in establishing the current government, emphasizing their vested interest in its success.

Firmly discouraging military invasion, he warned that no amount of propaganda could alter the fact. He cautioned against the risk of a widespread conflict involving not only Niger Republic but also Mali, Burkina Faso, and the Russian Wagner group.

He stated that such a conflict might lead to Nigeria’s internal division along ethnic, regional, and religious lines, urging the President to prevent this outcome.

His tweet read: “The wife of General Abdourahman Tiani, head of the military junta in Niger, is a Nigerian from Kangiwa, Kebbi State. The Emir of Dosso in Niger Republic acknowledges the Emir of Argungu in Nigeria.”
