Backlash have trailed the recent tweets of the former governor of Anambra State and Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr. Peter Obi for failing to address the security challenges in the Southeast region and rather shifting his focus to the North-central.

Many people hinted that his message failed to condemn the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, which had brazenly trampled on people’s right with their sit-at-home order that is enforced by their soldiers called “Unknown Gunmen.”

Bashir Ahmad, a former aide to the immediate past president, Muhamadu Buhari, in his reaction to Mr Obi’s tweets on Thursday, said, “It’s frustrating how Peter Obi, for the innumerable times, publicly shielded and denied the role of IPOB for excessive insecurity in the East. That shouldn’t be a character of an aspiring leader of a complex country like Nigeria.”

A Twitter user named President Chigozirim Aliyu Emeakayi, took to Peter Obi’s comment section to air his view, in his words, “So North Central is your area of concentration while your zone burns? Why are you deliberately ignoring the evil happening in the Southeast?

“You are a very dangerous man, Peter. You are a menace, and Nigeria is so lucky to escape you. You will never govern this country, ever!!!”

Another user @owolabitaiwo, Ayanlolo Abduljelil, said “after carefully reading through your tweets sir, it’s obvious that your focus was on the North Central. You analyzed the case of Mangu & backed it up with stats to justify why the killings were wrong.
But on SE, you went shabby down to telling us that the IPOB case affected.”
In his reaction Ola Wealth @Alooma4king, tweeted, “When a critical issue is happening at the south-east which has caused a lot of bloodletting and make all south-east leaders have a meeting to cub it. unfortunately, another leader from the same region just called it mere social and business disruption. so sad”

After many days of calling you out! Anyways better late than ever…
But why include North in the tweet????
Focus on SE fully then bring North in another tweet!
Now keep speaking on the sit at home; stop saying Sit at home was denied by IPOB; you know it was for IPOB. Stop pushing a false narrative?
Speak the truth without mixing it.
Call The IPOB out and stop disguising!

@nestaseyi
You don bring stats of Benue and Zamfara but no gree tell us South East own. Its glaring that you were forced to tweet on IPOB and praising the SE governors for doing what exactly?

@AccounTalks
I wonder why You find it difficult to clearly and specifically condemn IPOB but instead chose to generalize their act of violence.

Continue to destroy your own people in the name of politics. History will judge you.

@Riddwane
Dey play oo, PitObi. Dey play.
You are still defending IPOB at this point… goes to confirm the insinuation that you are the unnamed patron of the terrorist group. Same IPOB that says there won’t be peace in the S’East if the criminal albino is not released from the DSS cage? 🤡

Throughout the thread, Peter Obi still fail to condemn IPOB. He still manage to dribble round it and pass blame while condemning what’s helping in another region rather than his own region. It now look he has link with IPOB as things stand.
