Prof. Yakubu said that the services of the youth corps member are currently more required than ever before as the commission has introduced deep technology in it’s operations.

He disclosed that adequate arrangements have been made for their welfare as a huge number of the corps member would be deployed to every nooks and crannies for the conduct of the general elections
The NYS Acting Director, earlier in her response, thanked the INEC chairman for the gesture to use the youth corps member as ad hoc staff for the conduct of the forthcoming general elections .

She appealed to the INEC chairman to increase the allowances of the youth corps member to be commensurate with current economic realities, adding that the general fear of insecurity reported across the country as made it expedient for the commission to provide adequate security for the youth corp members that would be deployed to various polling units scattered across Nigeria.

In this regard, the NYSC Boss urged the Department of States Security (DSS) to be on guard in order to forestall any eventualities.

She assured that this synergy between the two agencies would strengthen their partnership.
