Wife of the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Titi Abubaka Atiku at the weekend, committed a big political gaffe, calling on Nigerians to cast their votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The wife of the former Vice President committed this error while sensitizing some group of women ahead of the 2023 general elections.

In the video which has seen gone viral online, Titi, after condemning the APC for failing to fulfil its promises to Nigerians, made an apparent gaffe, told the women voters to vote the ruling party in the 2023 general election.

Her words: “By the 25th of February, everybody should come, if you have not collected your PVC, go and collect your PVC… we should vote APC. APC promised to do so many things for the country. But we can see ourselves now, the way we are.”

Reacting to the video, the APC spokesperson for the Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo spoke in defence of the wife of the PDP presidential flag-bearer.

Keyamo said: “…In all honesty, this is obviously a slip of tongue. But, we hold the view, that it is unreasonable to make a mountain out of such molehills, especially when you quickly correct yourself.”

Here are some other reactions harvested from Twitter;

“I will always say it loudly, APC AND PDP ARE THE SAME. That’s why they always call each other subconsciously. It’s time to change you all, and move this country forward,”(@dehonestnation)

“You can’t blame her, politicians change parties as if they are changing clothes. You can’t even identify them with a party,”(@hardz15)

“To me its understandable for the slip as she was once an active APC member alongside her husband….but what about your Principal “ASIWAJU’..
he was never an active PDP member all his life…”(@eminencetca)

“Sir, she urged Nigerians to vote for APC cos APC is in their hearts and minds.. APC from Top to Bottom,”(@Ahmedjallo)
