Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has been named Nigeria’s most valuable player in Europe.

Despite missing five weeks due to injury, Transfermarkt values the 23-year-old forward at €65m.

On Saturday, the Nigerian helped Napoli win 2-1 at Atalanta for their ninth straight Serie A win under Luciano Spalletti.

It would be recalled that the Super Eagles forward helped Napoli to win 2-1 on October 5 2022, as he scored all three goals: he was penalized for a handball in the box and Ademola Lookman scored the 19th-minute penalty, he then equalized four minutes later before assisting Eljif Elmas’ winner 10 minutes from halftime.

He has also been named as Nigeria’s top Italian top-flight scorer and the fourth most prolific striker in Europe’s top five leagues this season, scoring every 91 minutes in Serie A. Osimhen has nine goals and two assists for the Partenopei, who lead Serie A by six points.

Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi is second at €45m while Everton’s Alex Iwobi is third at €25m, while

The €20m-valued Samuel Chukwueze and Taiwo Awoniyi complete the top five.

Sadiq Umar, who is recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury, is the sixth most valuable position and will cost €18m like Ajax defender Calvin Bassey.

Kelechi Iheanacho is eighth at €17m, followed by Joe Aribo and Terem Moffi at €15m.
