The Edo State capital of Benin City is presently in a state of shock and disbelief following the sudden death of a member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Jude Ise-Idehen (Egor/Ikpoba-Okha), Edo State.

Ise-Idehen, reportedly passed away in the early hours of Friday, 1st July, 2022 in Abuja.

Only recently, the first time federal lawmaker, a member of Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki faction of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) won his party’s ticket to seek re-election in the 2023 general elections.

A devout Catholic, the former member of Edo State House of Assembly was born into the family of Sir George OtutuIse-Idehen (KSM, KSS, JP) and Lady Clara EnoyozeIse-Idehen on the 7th of June, 1969.

He attended Emotan Primary School, Benin City before proceeding to Immaculate Conception College (ICC), Benin and to the newly opened University of Benin Demonstration Secondary School (UDSS), Benin City as one of the pioneer student.
