President Muhammadu Buhari is currently holding a meeting behind closed-doors with the Governor of Kogi State and presidential aspirant on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Yahaya Bello.

The President is holding a meeting with Bello at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

While the agenda of the meeting remains sketchy as of press time, feelers in the party have said the meeting might not be unconnected
with the ongoing consultations on a concensus candidate for the party.

It was gathered that the President is holding talks with Bello about withdrawing from the presidential race of the party.

It would be recalled Bello, yesterday angrily rejected the resolution of the Northern governors of the party to zone the presidency to south. The governor had dissociated himself from the resolution, insisting that he will contest in the ongoing primary election.

More to come soon…
