Sokoto Police Command, on Tuesday, declared suspects seen in a viral video of Deborah Samuel’s brutal murder, wanted.

The Command spokesperson, Sanusi Abubakar, said the suspects are wanted for culpable homicide.

In his words: “The Command is using this medium to reiterate its commitment towards apprehending the suspects. The command has already deployed all its intelligence and is on the lookout for the suspects.

“Members of the public are enjoined to cooperate with the police and report any mere identification to the command or any security outfit in their domain.

“The command can be reached through its emergency number 07068848035.”

It would be recalled that Debora was lynched and set ablaze by her classmates for using alleged profane language on their WhatsApp group chat.

The second-year student of Shehu Shagari College of Education was stoned to her death while trying to flee the mob.

Two suspects who were earlier arrested in connection with the macabre murder of Deborah, have been remanded in prison, following the court ruling by a Magistrate Court sitting in Sokoto on Monday.
