Immediate past Commissioner for Housing in Delta State, Joseph Ogeh, has passed away on Sunday.

The Delta-born politician reportedly collapsed in his residence in Warri during a political meeting. He was immediately rushed to an undisclosed hospital to receive medical attention. However, all efforts to revive him proved abortive as the former commissioner was pronounced dead.

Ogeh who hailed from Iyede Clan, Isoko North council area of Delta state, also served as Commissioner representing Isoko nationality in the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) during the admistration of former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan.

His death is coming on the heels of the demise of a renowned Nigerian historian and former Vice-Chancellor of Delta State University, Abraka, Professor Abednego Ekoko.

Ekoko who hailed from Uzere in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, passed away on Saturday morning at the age of 79.
