Facts have emerged on how a senior lecturer at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, Professor Abass Olajire slumped and died in a mosque while observing Solatul Jum’at.

Our source revealed that the deceased slumped at Ansarudeen Mosque during Jumu’ah while praying, and was rushed to Lautech Teaching Hospital (LTH) where he was confirmed dead.

Olajire who is a Professor of Industrial/Environmental Chemistry is one of the three lecturers from LAUTECH that were ranked among top world scientists, among the 71 Nigerian scholars.

Abass Abiola Olajire, a Nigerian chemistry educator and researcher who was the recipient of Best Lecturer award Lautech branch National Association Mathematics Students in 1994.

The late Professor is a member of Nigerian Association Petroleum Explorationists (presenter conferences), Chemical Society Nigeria (advisor Lautech branch since 1996), Oluyole Club (Lautech branch), New York Academy of Sciences and Chemical Society Nigeria.
