President Muhammadu Buhari has paid a visit to one of the national leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in London, UK.

The presidential visit comes amid viral claims that the former Lagos Governor has been receiving treatment for a secret ailment, something Tinubu’s Media Aide, Mr Tunde Rahman has continued to deny.

Pictures of Buhari and Tinubu in London emerged late Thursday, perhaps, dismissing rumours that both were not on good terms.

Tinubu, purported to be a 2023 presidential hopeful, was seen with a walking stick as he posed for the camera side-by-side with the President in one of the pictures.

On Monday, July 26, 2021, President Buhari had jetted out of the country for a medical check-up in the UK, as well as a global education summit which held in London recently. A statement by presidential spokesman, Mr Femi Adesina had earlier said “he is due back in the country by second week of August, 2021.”

Recall last Week — August 3 — Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos had also paid a visit to Tinubu, a two-time Governor of Lagos.

Speaking on the trip, Sanwo-Olu had said he went to see his political godfather to “dispel” rumours that he was sick and hospitalised following viral reports, claiming the politician had undergone a major surgical procedure in London.

“I went to see things for myself. It is just to put the mind and heart of people to rest that there is nothing for us to worry about,” Governor Sanwo-Olu had told journalists after his return from the snap trip.
