The Department of State Services (DSS), on Monday, has finally produced the 12 detained aides of popular Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho in court.

Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court in Abuja had last week ordered the DSS to produce the 12 aides who had been in detention since July 2, 2021.

The 12 aides were arrested during the invasion of Igboho’s residence in Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State. The operatives had raided Igboho’s residence in Ibadan over an intelligence report that the activist was allegedly stockpiling arms and ammunition to cause havoc in the country.

The 12 aides who have since been remanded in the custody of the DSS are currently present for court proceedings at the Federal High Court, Abuja, as of press time.

It was gathered that the suspects were brought to court in an 18-seater Toyota Hiace Bus marked, Abuja 785 KWL.

As of press time, the court proceedings was set to get underway as lawyers and the presiding judge are getting ready to commence the business of the day.
