President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday has officially received the Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State, who recently defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The President who received Matawalle at the State House, Abuja presented the APC’s flag to the Governor as the new leader of the party in Zamfara State.

Also present at the event was Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State, who also recently dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling APC.

Similarly, Buhari presented the APC’s flag to Ayade. The two Governors were led to the President by  the Chairman of APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and Yobe state governor, Hon. Mai-Mala Buni.
