The final burial rites for the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, commences today, Monday June 5.

Joshua a Nigerian pastor, televangelist, philanthropist died on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the age of 57.

The one-week burial arrangement in honour of the late pastor will kickstart with a candlelight procession from 6 pm. However, it will be a private service.

On July 6 and 7, there will be a tribute service from 10a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The venue will be open to the general public but with limited seats.

Also, there would also be a service of songs/all night praise from 12.00 midnight, which is open to the general public.

The lying-in-state service will hold on July 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This will also be open to the general public to pay their last respects.

The late pastor would then be committed to mother earth on July 9 in the premises of SCOAN, while the thanksgiving service will hold in the church on July 11.

Ahead of the commencement of the popular and renowned televangelist, a delegation from the Lagos State Government led by the Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, and the Director-General of the Lagos State Safety Commission, Mr. Lanre Mojola, visited SCOAN over the weekend in a bid to inspect facilities at the church as regards compliance to the COVID-19.

Speaking after the inspection of the church facilities and meeting with the church officials, Abayomi said the inspection was in line with the third wave mitigation strategy of the Lagos State Government to prevent importation and spread of new deadly strains of COVID-19 into Lagos and Nigeria.

While noting that the late prophet was a prominent person who attracted large congregation, the commissioner urged SCOAN authorities to ensure strict compliance with the COVID-19 protocols.
