The Zamfara State Government has confirmed the abduction of female students from Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS), Jangebe in the Talata-Mafara Local Government Area of the state.

Reacting to the incident, Abubakar Dauran, Zamfara State Commissioner of Security and Home Affairs, during a press conference in Gusau, confirmed the abduction of the female students.

Although, the commissioner failed to ascertain the number of the abducted female students, he however, assured that security men and members of vigilante groups in the state are already on the trail of the abductors.
