Nigerian Billionaire and socialite, Bolu Akin-Olugbade has died of complications arising from the Covid-19 disease.

Family sources said the 61-year-old businessman passed away on Wednesday at the Paelon COVID Centre in Ikeja, Lagos.

Akin-Olugbade holds the traditional title of the Aare Ona-kankanfo of Owu kingdom.

He was born on April 2, 1956, to a popular Abeokuta family of late Babatunde Akin-Olugbade. His father, also a wealthy businessman was the Balogun of Owu until his death.

Akin-Olugbade who had a good taste of luxury all his lifetime was a Rolls Royce lover.

His 10th Rolls Royce, the Cullinan worth $450,000, was reportedly the first to be driven on any African road in 2019.

He was a lawyer and his business interest include property development, construction, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, maritime and offshore services and investment banking.

He attended Corona School, King’s College, Lagos and London University.

Akin-Olugbade had his master’s degree in law at University of California and obtained his doctorate degree in company law at Cambridge University.
