….. Wike and His Unending Lies of Detraction – Finebone

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has raised the alarm that the APC Federal Government has concluded plans to plant 800 guns in the state, with the objective of destabilising Rivers State.

In a statement signed by Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu, the governor was quoted as saying that the APC Federal Government resolved to implement the plot during her last security meeting.

He stated that the intelligence came from credible sources that were privy to the ugly plot against Rivers State.

The governor called on the international community to take note of the proposed illegal action of the APC Federal Government, which is aimed at creating crisis in the state.

He regretted that the APC Federal Government has continued to work deliberately to compromise the security of Rivers State.

Governor Wike urged the people of the state to remain calm, but vigilant. He added that the evil machinations of the APC Federal Government will not distract the state from delivering on her constitutional responsibilities to Rivers people.

Reacting to the statement, the Rivers State chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, said her attention has been drawn to the allegation by Gov. Nyesom Wike accusing the Federal Government of plotting to plant guns in Rivers State.

Rivers APC in a counter statement signed and issued to journalists today in Port Harcourt by the party’s Spokesman, Senibo Chris Finebone said, “of course, these are part of the manifest lies that can only come from an accidental governor, if you know what that means. We know that governors who deserve or merit the high office they occupy do not go to bed, wake up and spin such blatant falsehood as in this case.”

It reads: “We know that, in his sober moments, Gov. Nyesom Wike will not even believe himself. He should know that no right thinking person will believe that the President Buhari-led Federal Government will under any circumstances embark on what the governor is conjuring either against Rivers State or indeed any state.

“Gov. Wike has found it difficult to renew his MoU with his gunmen allies (who have now turned rebels and declared wanted) towards repeating in 2019 what they did in 2015. To conceal the confusion in their camp, Wike and his officials contrive all sorts of fantasies just to detract and deflect attention from their internal crises. Sometimes, the governor resorst to wild allegations to create a facade over his actual actions. Rivers people know him, Nigerians should watch him.”
