Kelechi Iheanacho has reiterated his desire to remain at Leicester City despite his limited playing role this season.

Ayoze Perez’s arrival from Newcastle United last summer pushed Iheanacho down the pecking order at the club as he only made his first league appearance against Everton in December, four months into the campaign.

The Nigeria international seized that opportunity with a match-winning goal and assist. He’s been a mainstay in the team since then.Leicester City

Iheanacho replicated the feat a week later, grabbing an assist and hitting the back of the net once in a 4-1 win at Aston Villa.

There are reports Brendan Rodgers is planning to sign a new striker this summer which could further affect his chances of playing on a regular basis.

Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard and Real Madrid flop, Luca Jovic have been linked with the Foxes in recent weeks.

Iheanacho, however, insists he is not thinking about leaving the Foxes.
