Nigerians on social media have paid tributes to veteran singer Ebenezer Obey who has lost his 48-year-old son Olalekan Obey-Fabiyi.

It was learnt that Olalekan died on Friday, July 29, 2022, and was buried on Saturday, July 30 2022.

As of the time of filing this report, the cause of his death is yet to be made public by the family.

Olalekan’s death comes about 11 years after Obey lost his wife Juliana Olaide Olufade, his wife who died at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital on 23 August 2011, at 67. They have several children and grandchildren.

Following the announcement, Nigerians have taken to their social media platforms to commiserate with the veteran singer.
