The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has touched down in Nigeria.

The presidential candidate touched down at the Abuja International Airport at about 6pm on Thursday. He was received by his running mate, Kashim Shettima; the Director-General of the APC campaign council, Simon Lalong, and a former National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, among other prominent members of the ruling party.

The arrival of Tinubu comes after he came under heavy backlash and criticism over his whereabouts and his health status.

There have been rumours that the candidate was holed up in London and would not return soon to commence campaigns for next year’s election.

However, with the arrival of Tinubu in Nigeria, the presidential candidate seems to be set to kick-off his campaign activities and consultations across the country.
