The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has issued a warning to its officers regarding who it called a
newly formed group known as ACHAD Life Mission International.

The NIS said it is placing the organization under scrutiny due to alarming reports suggesting its involvement in human trafficking and the separation of children from their families.

NIS made this known in a circular dated January 15, 2025, signed by the Principal Staff Officer to the Comptroller General, CIS A.A. Aridegbe.

It was titled “Emergence of a New sect known as ACHAD Life Mission International.”

The NIS reported that they possess credible intelligence indicating that members of the ACHAD group are involved in serious criminal activities, specifically human trafficking and the separation of children from their families.

The circular reads in part: “The sect’s headquarters is in Kaduna, and its operations are spearheaded by an individual identified as Yokana, who is based in Jos.

“It further notes that the sect neither believes in Islam nor Christianity but preaches the restoration of the African tradition and support to humanity.

“The intelligence further reveals that the sect has been canvassing for members both within and outside Nigeria and is possibly involved in human trafficking and child separation.”
