The Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Dr Aliyu Abdullahi, has lost his father, Alhaji Abdullahi Sabi.

It was gathered that the Minister’s father passed on at the age of 100 years, in the late hours of Monday night, 23rd September, 2024.

 

The late Abdullahi has been committed to Mother Earth on Tuesday, 24th September 2024, at Gbemusu Palace, New Bussa, Niger State, in line with Islamic practice.

This was contained in a statement issued on behalf of the family by the Minister.

The New Diplomat reports that the deceased was born in 1924.

He was the District Head of Luma in Borgu Emirate Council, New Bussa, Niger State, until his demise.

Also, the late Abdullahi was a one-time Works Superintendent and Supervisory Councillor of the Borgu Local Government Area and was the pioneer Chairman of the Jamaatul Izalatul Bidia Wa Ikamatul Sunnah (JIBWIS) of Borgu Kingdom.

The late Alhaji Abdullahi is survived by his wives, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a legion of relatives.
