Tension has further escalated in Oyo as the house of the O’odua activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Igboho, located in the Soka area of Ibadan was razed early Tuesday.

The New Diplomat earlier reported that the activist’s house in Soka, started burning around 3am, early hours on Tuesday.

The cause of the fire was not known as at the time of filing this report but, Igboho has come out to say the fire was caused by the some individuals who deliberately wanted to cause havoc in the state.

Reacting to the destruction of one of his house, Igboho took to his Twitter account to share pictures of the burnt house.

He said, “My house at Soka Ibadan razed down by suspected arsonists.”

It would be recalled that the destruction of Igboho’s occurred days after violence erupted in Ibarapa following his arrival at the town to ensure the herders complied with his directive of a 7-day ultimatum, he had given before then.

The violence led to the destruction of the house of Fulani Leader, Salihu Abdukadir.
