Several dignitaries have continued to storm the funeral ceremony for the late former governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, in his hometown Owo.The funeral Service is currently holding at St Andrews Church, Imola Street, Owo.The New Diplomat reports that Vice President Kashim Shettima; Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo state; Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state; Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state; Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state; Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra state; Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state.

Also, the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Ganduje; and the just elected governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo state, Barrister Asue Ighodalo; former governor of Sokoto state, Senator Aminu Tambuwal; former governor of Ondo state, Senator Olusegun Mimiko; former governor of Ekiti state, Kayode Fayemi, are present at the church service.

The interment ceremony will follow immediately at the burial site, Owo.

Akeredolu died on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, after a prolonged illness at the age of 67.
