Efforts to resolve the circumstances surrounding the demise of singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba popularly referred to as Mohbad are in advanced level following the arrest of controversial Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, aka Sam Larry.

Sam Larry was arrested on Thursday, according to the Lagos Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Benjamin Hundeyin.

“Yes, Balogun Eletu aka Sam Larry is now in our custody. He is presently helping with the continued research,” Hundeyin said.

This trails strong allegations that Sam Larry together with Naira Marley, the owner of Marlian song in which Mohbad professionally started his music career before he left may additionally have a hand inside the demise of the singer.

It would be recalled, September 12, the death of the 27-yr-old singer flooded the internet and social media in Nigeria. His fans and a bigger section of the Nigerian youths called for an investigation into the death of the singer.

The police last week exhumed the remains of the singer to conduct an autopsy while they wait for the result.

In the meantime, Naira Marley in an interview with Reno Omokri disclosed that he was outside country whilst the singer died.

The label boss alleged that Mohbad struggled with suicidal attempt while he was alive at the same time as he become alive.

He stated he’ll return to the country if the police guarantees his protection.

He also alleged that Mohbad struggled with suicidal thoughts while he alive.

He said, “there was once more whilst i used to be in america and his woman referred to as me to say he locked himself within the lavatory and he wanted to kill himself or some thing like that. So, I called him from there and recorded the communication, asking him: “Why did you want to kill yourself? You are a king, in case your own family is stressing you out (because this time, he became with his circle of relatives and all his own family became around him) just inform them to chill, you could do what you want to do, do not pressure your self, in case you kill your self now, what do you need humans to say.

“i used to be so worried so I known as him to attempt to deliver him rest of mind, in case your family is stressing you out, go away.”

“He desired to dedicate suicide, in the video, i used to be simply looking for out what turned into wrong with him.”
