Reactions have begun to trail the current standard of the Super Eagles team and the tactics of new coach Jose Peseiro as the team has now lost back to back friendly games.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria suffered a 1-0 loss to Ecuador in a friendly fixture played in the early hours of Friday, June 3, 2022.

The Super Eagles aimed to bounce back after a disappointing 2-1 loss to the El Tri of Mexico in Dallas, Texas.

The Super Eagles faced a hostile atmosphere at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.

New Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro could not avoid defeat in his second game in charge.

Villareal defender Pervis Estupinan converted a cross by Angel Mena to put Ecuador in front as early as the third minute.

The Super Eagles were unable to recover from the early deficit as they suffered their second loss in the United States of America (USA).
