President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with Civil Rights Activist, Administrator and former member of House of Representatives, Comrade Abdul Oroh as he clocks 60.
Oroh, who has served as Commissioner for Information, and later, Agriculture in Edo State is a former Executive director of Civil Liberties Organization (CLO).
He is a member of The New Diplomat’s Advisory Board and a regular contributor to the medium’s publication.
President Buhari in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, urged Oroh to sustain his passion for Nigeria.
Buhari also asked the lawyer and journalist to continue to deploy his skills, resources and hands-on experience for the public good.
“President Muhammadu Buhari felicitates with journalist, lawyer, civil rights activist, politician and administrator, Abdul Shaibu Oroh, as he turns 60 August 15, 2020.
“On the joyful occasion, the President rejoices with the former member of the House of Representatives (2003-2007), his family and friends, joining them to thank God for good health, sound mind, and continued service to God and humanity.
“President Buhari enjoins the former Edo State commissioner to further deploy his multi-skills to touch lives and emancipate society, noting that such public spiritedness would never go unrewarded.
“At 60, the President urges Hon. Oroh to sustain his passion for the country, as Nigeria is destined to take her place in the comity of nations,” the statement said.
