The Lagos state police command, has announced the arrest of a Popular Nigerian musician, Ice Prince for assaulting a police officer.

As announced by SP Benjamin Hundeyin via his verified Twitter page, he said the popular singer was arrested at about 3:00am on Friday September 2, 2022.

It was learned that the popular artiste was flagged down by police officers for driving without a licensed plate.

Hundeyin revealed that for the misconducts, he would be arraigned today.

His tweet reads: ‘At about 3a.m @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station.

“He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him, and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today.”
